The “new pact on migration” is the latest attempt of the european union to further militarize and externalize european borders. The discussion tries to analyse how this is in fact not a new approach but a policy of violence and dehumanization of people forced to migrate that the EU is following for years. Frontex the EU’s border military is and has always been a key player in these developments.
