National demonstration to mobilise all together against CPR, detention and against all borders!
– On 2 JULY we meet at Porta Palazzo, from 11am, for a national assembly to share our perspectives to continue this struggle together.

With the Cutro Decree, the government’s will to open a CPR (detention centre) in every region becomes clear, thus increasing the numbers of administrative detention and continuing to control, in an even more arbitrary way, the lives of people without European documents.

The mesh of administrative detention is widened even further, making hotspots places to stay while waiting for asylum and in view of deportations.

The new European pact on immigration foresees the possibility of rejecting from Fortress Europe, in so-called safe countries, anyone who is on European territory without papers, regardless of their geographical origin. The security of these countries is given mainly on an economic level, by injecting huge sums of money to heal defaults – as in Tunisia -, for border control, the construction of new lagers for migrants. An all-Western security.

In Turin, the CPR in Corso Brunelleschi was closed thanks to prisoner revolts.
IT MUST NOT BE REOPENED: NOT HERE, NOT ANYWHERE ELSE!
